In this week, we’ll get an introduction to the Grammar of Graphics and R’s "ggplot2" package for making graphics.

At the end of this unit you will be able to:

• Produce simple exploratory graphics with functions from "ggplot2".

• Describe the notion of “layers” and how to use them for making a graphic with "ggplot2".

• Explain the difference between mappings and settings.

• Describe the purpose of the aesthetic mapping function aes().
